For Current Gilead Employees and Contractors:Please log onto your Internal Career Site to apply for this job.Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Audit Committee and CFO, the Internal Audit Department at Gilead identifies, documents and tests key risks, controls and business processes; reviews findings with management and provides recommendations for issue resolution. The function partners with cross-functional groups in the implementation of process improvements and systems projects that deliver value to Gilead's business and ensure effective internal controls.Essential Duties and Job Functions:The position will be responsible for planning, executing and managing compliance and Foreign CorruptPractices Act (FCPA) audits across the company. Key responsibilities include:* Assist in the development and implementation of the annual audit plan.* Plan and execute compliance audits at Gilead entities and 3rd parties including Distributors, Clinical Research Organizations, and Event Planners etc.* Oversee the preparation of reports and recommend improvements in internal controls, operations and related policies and procedures.* Track remediation activities to resolution.* Manage timelines and internal/external resources to achieve program objectives.Knowledge, Experience and Skills:* In depth knowledge and understanding of the FCPA and other anti-corruption/anti-bribery regulations as well as pharmaceutical industry regulations and guidelines.* Forensic audit experience including designing and testing compliance with FCPA and other pharmaceutical industry guidelines.* Solid technical proficiency in accounting and auditing.* Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and interact effectively with all levels and functions of the organization.* Strong computer and data analytics skills.Specific Education and Experience Requirements:* Minimum of 10+ years of experience on pharmaceutical compliance audits, FCPA audits and risk management concepts.* BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.* CPA (or equivalent for international locations), CIA, or CFE preferred.* Knowledge of fraud and abuse laws (eg, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; UK Anti-Bribery Statute).* Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical industry experience* Ability and willingness to travel internationallyFor jobs in the United States:As an equal opportunity employer, Gilead Sciences Inc. is committed to a diverse workforce.
