Our growing warehouse French bakery business is looking for a skilled problem solver to join our team as a Customer Service Specialist. We need an enthusiastic individual who can listen to customer service issues and offer a unique and innovative solution to each problem. The successful candidate for this role will have a strong command of the company's customer service policies, and be well-trained in product knowledge that can be critical for offering quick and accurate assistance to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Answers incoming customer calls regarding billing issues, product problems, service questions and general client concerns
• Act as a translator for our customers, vendors, and employees
• Deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face
• The employee would be working on projects for the Customer Service, Human Resources, Marketing, and Accounting department.
• Substantial use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and company proprietary programs and software
• Reconcile and enter daily invoices
• Provide pricing and delivery information
• Organize workflow to meet customer timeframe
• Update customer information in the database during and after each call
• Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients and working to establish a positive rapport with every caller
• Work with the management team to stay updated on product knowledge and be informed of any changes in company policies
• Prepare a variety of correspondence and reports
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Competencies

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• To articulate, understand, support and perform in accordance with all company policies and procedures which affect administrative and health & safety services.
• Be a courteous, professional and positive representative of the company including professional dress and demeanor.
• Advanced typing skills coupled with good oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to produce professional, error-free, correctly formatted reports, presentations and written submissions, in a timely manner.
• Proficient in Excel & Word
• Education and/or Experience

Minimum of a High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree in a Business related field preferred). Substantial previous experience in a Customer Service role and Microsoft Excel. Experience in managing people is preferred.
