DESCRIPTION

ORGANIZATION

Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS) was founded in 1975 and its mission is to empower youth in our community to find their way through social-emotional support and by building safe, accepting communities. To achieve this, ACS operates four programs serving 10-25 year olds in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties: the On-Campus Counseling Program, providing free counseling on-campus at partner secondary schools; the Outlet Program, providing support, education, leadership development, and advocacy for LGBTQQ youth; the Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program, providing assessment, outpatient treatment, aftercare, and education; and the Community Counseling Program, providing affordable individual and family counseling during the afternoon and evening hours.

TITLE: Clinical Director
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
OVERVIEW:
The position guides and oversees the day-to-day operations as well as provides vision for Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS) programs. The position oversees and works in close collaboration with the Outlet Program Director, the On-Campus Counseling Program Clinical Supervisors and the Outpatient Programs Clincial Team to assure continuity and improvement of the quality of care. The Clinical Director serves as an essential member of the Operations team, reporting directly to the Executive Director.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with Executive Director on institional priorities, culture development, and programs' lon-range planning
Working collaboratively with the programs' teams to coordinate the agency's clinical training program, compliance protocols, and professional development of all clinicians
Actively and cooperatively particiapte in the Operations Leadership Team to foster strong cross-departmental collaboration between programs
Work with Executive Director to keep board members informed about programs initiatives, impacts, and innovations
Develop and maintain productivity standards for programs and ensure efficient and effective staffing patterns
Develop and implement organization wide treatment policies that will contribute to the agency overall success
Oversee the creation, implementation, monitoring and reporting of valid and realiable measurable objectives with the goal to assess the quality and effectiveness of the programs
Monitor and ensure that documentation and case records are developed and maintained in accordance with agency standards
Coordinate, implement and monitor agency-wide use of Electronic Health Record system
Recruitment of clinical interns, conduct outreach and maintain working relationships with graduate schools
Supervise Outpatient Treatment Team including paid and unpaid staff and volunteers
Coordinate and implement orientation and training for all clincial staff
Ensure all programs activities comply with contracts
Represent the agency at appropriate levels in local, county, and state groups
Hire, supervise, train and evaluate the OCCP Clinical Supervisors, Director of Outpatient Programs, Outlet Program Director and Outpatient Clinical Interns

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Masters or Doctorate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field
· Must possess an LMFT, LCSW or PhD/PsyD licens
· Must have a minimum of three years supervisory and management experience working in a non-profit/community based organization.
· Experience with Medi-Cal documentation and utilization review to ensure agency compliance with required standards
· Knowledge of chemical dependency, co-occurring, and mental health treatments
· Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
· Advanced computer skills/proficiencies required in: email, the internet, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as previous electronic health record/database experience
· Ability to create and maintain positive, productive working relationships
· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, track details and the big picture, work proactively, and handle/maintain confidential records and issues appropriately
· Sensitivity to cultural, social, ethnic and gender issues
· Must have a passion for the mission and values of Adolescent Counseling Services

SALARY
Minimum: $65,000.00
Maximum: $80,000.00
