The Lee Lab uses interdisciplinary approaches from biology and engineering to analyze, debug, and manipulate systems:level brain circuits. We seek to understand the connectivity and function of these large:scale networks in order to drive the development of new therapies for neurological diseases. This research finds its basic building blocks in areas ranging from medical imaging and signal processing to genetics and molecular biology. We are seeking a highly motivated and well organized Life Science Research Professional who will collaborate in the execution of experiments designed to use interdisciplinary approaches from biology and engineering to analyze, debug, and manipulate systems:level brain circuits. Learn more about the Lee Lab at include: A: Plan and perform experiments in support of research projects in lab and/or field based on knowledge of scientific theory. Interpret and perform basic analyses of results. A: Review literature on an ongoing basis to remain current with new procedures and related research.A: Offer suggestions regarding modifications to procedures and protocols in collaboration with graduate post:doctoral individuals.A: Maintain detailed records of experiments and outcomes. A: Contribute to publication of findings as needed. Participate in the preparation of written documents, including procedures, presentations, and proposals. A: Help with general lab maintenance as needed; maintain lab stock, manage chemical inventory and safety records, and provide general lab support as needed.A: Help orient and train new staff or students. : Other duties may also be assignedDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:A: Advanced degree (MS) A: Demonstrated ability in basic histology techniques and tissue sectioningA: Demonstrated hands:on experience in confocal and fluorescent microscopyEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):Bachelors degree in related scientific field.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):A: General understanding of scientific principles.
