TheServices Account Manager (SAM) works closely with Consulting Leadership, Strategic Pursuit Advisors (SPAs), SAP Digital Services Delivery, as well as our customers and partners as a strategic advisor on Smart Cities, Internet of Things (ioT), Data Analytics, and Digital Innovation. This SAM will work specifically with the State of California customers and prospects, located primarily in northern California. As a member of State, Local, Education and Healthcare (SLED+HC) Digital Services Consulting team, the SAM will focus on supporting consulting and innovation pursuits in these key areas of Public Sector innovation, and will represent SAP Consulting in customer meetings, interest groups, and public venues. The value this person brings is based in large part on the SAM's:
:Knowledge of Public Sector strategic innovation wants and needs, and specifically the knowledge of doing business with the State of California, and the specific requirements associated with that customer set;
:Previous participation and leadership in groups aligned with Public Sector innovation;
:Understanding of SAP Smart Cities / IoT / Analytics framework(s);
:The ability to conceptualize and explain the "art of the possible" with respect to SAP technology, thought leadership, co:innovation, and consulting;
:Effective communication regarding our capabilities in small, medium and large (public) venues.
The SAM is principally measured on consulting bookings generated from these specific solution sets to which they are aligned within the Region. In this case the solution sets include Smart Cities, IoT, Data Analytics and related co:innovation.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The Services Account Manager is accountable for collaborating with aligned groups within SAP to:
:Develop a regional strategy for rolling out Smart Cities / IoT / Data analytics offerings
:Develop demand for Smart Cities / IoT / Data Analytics engagements
:Growing the SAP consulting business in these areas based on SAP's offerings
:Credibly represent SAP 's Thought Leadership and Services offerings to Public Sector leaders, and in public interest groups and speaking engagements representing SAP Consulting
:Assist with proposal preparation within SAP business parameters and with winning business
:Mentor Virtual Account Team members
:Facilitate the transition of the customer relationship(s) to the Digital Services Delivery team
Finally, the SAM will work closely with the Strategic Sales COE, the Consulting Demand Generation Team, SAP Digital Services team, the SAP License Team, and other SAP and partner organizations to deliver holistic, value based business outcomes. Additional responsibilities will include developing a reference:able set of SAP Consulting Clients who have benefited from our innovative offerings and who are willing to help SAP grow that market.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
:BA/BS/ MBA or comparable is strongly preferred.
