Job Description Are you an experienced Residential Construction Estimator looking for a role that provides stability and growth incentives? We are a well-established and ever-growing company specializing in Design/Build services from new construction, major remodels and additions to decks and siding and everything in between. We are looking for an estimator, with project manager experience preferred, to help us grow even more. If you’re detailed, motivated, positive, accurate, a great communicator and can provide outstanding customer service, then this is the role for you! In this role, you will: · Schedule and attend job walk-throughs with vendors/subs and clients. · Develop scope of work through discussions with the client · Create detailed, accurate and timely job estimates · Read and interpret plans (Residential, Architectural, and Structural) and complete accurate take offs · Obtain bids from vendors and ask for revisions where necessary (comparing Apples to Apples type scenarios) · Write up proposals and review all contracts · Coordinate materials and equipment order and usage in conjunction with crew leads · Create Project Schedule/Gant Chart utilizing Microsoft Project · Create and communicate the project’s scope of work, timeline and cost with field crew · Monitoring actual results vs. estimate data · Provide excellent customer service To obtain this role, you need: · At least 3 years or more of experience with residential estimating and project management in the construction industry · Knowledge in using on-screen takeoff, digitally estimating using computerized software such as Sage/Timberline, eTakeoff, ProEst, PlanSwift, etc. Our company will be utilizing Sage/Timberline Estimating software, accompanied with eTakeoff. Sage/Timberline experience is a MUST. Experience with eTakeoff not required, but is preferred, and can be easily adapted to if you have any experience with OST. · A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and share ideas · Knowledge and understanding of the California Building Codes and their application · Good computer and typing skills, and a proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project and Office · Math skills, budgeting and cost knowledge · Excellent communication (fluency in English is a must) and problem solving skills · Quality conscious and customer service oriented · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Willingness and ability to work under strict or changing time constraints · Self starter and motivated · Bonus Points for: Hands-on experience in the field Salary/hourly rate to be determined. Commensurate with experience. Please Note: · Local to the Peninsula is a plus, but not required, as the majority of our work is on the Coastside near Half Moon Bay and Pacifica. · Please be sure this commute will not be an issue. Open to working remotely as needed. · Transportation and a valid CA driver’s license is required.
